§ 881.2 Definitions.

As used in the regulations in this part and in cooperative agreements entered into pursuant to the regulations in this part:
Government(a) means the United States of America;
Commission(b) means the Appalachian Regional Development Commission established by section 101 of the Appalachian Regional Development Act of 1965;
State(c) means any one of the States listed in section 403 of the Appalachian Regional Development Act of 1965; and
Local authoritieslocal bodies of government(d) or means a county, city, township, town, or borough, and other local governmental bodies organized and existing under authority or State laws.
