Specifications.(a) The drug is an aqueous solution of sulfaethoxypyridazine.

Related tolerances.(c) See § 556.650 of this chapter.
Conditions of usein cattleAmount.(d) —(1) Administer 2.5 grams per 100 pounds of body weight per day by intravenous injection for not more than 4 days; or first treatment may be followed by 3 days of treatment with sulfaethoxypyridazine in drinking water or tablets in accordance with §§ 520.2240a(e) and 520.2240b(e) of this chapter.
Indications for use.(2) For treatment of respiratory infection (pneumonia, shipping fever), foot rot, calf scours; as adjunctive therapy in septicemia accompanying mastitis and metritis.
Limitations.(3) Do not treat within 16 days of slaughter. Milk that has been taken from animals during treatment and for 72 hours (6 milkings) after the latest treatment must not be used for food. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
