§ 362.2 Definitions.

As used in this part:

Act(a) means the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees' Claims Act of 1964, as amended (31 U.S.C. 240-243).

Article of extraordinary value(b) means an article which was purchased or which the employee values at a monetary amount which is in excess of the usual, regular or customary amount paid for an article which is capable of accomplishing the same purposes.

Benefit of the Board(c) means that the operations and service of the Board were assisted, facilitated or improved.

Board(d) means the Railroad Retirement Board.

Employee(e) means an officer or employee of the Board.

Settle(f) means consider, ascertain, adjust, determine and dispose of any claim, whether by full or partial allowance or by disallowance.
