Syllabus

<p>A purchaser of land at a commissioner’s sale under a decree of the superior court of chancery, who is no party to the original suit in which the decree of sale was made, cannot obtain in his own name a writ of assistance from the chancellor, to turn parties out of the possession of the purchased premises, and put him in.</p> <p>The purchaser can only proceed by getting the vendor to make application for the process.</p>
