Syllabus
<p>A sum of money assessed in lieu of dower does not constitute a specific lien upon the land in the possession of an alienee, hut only a judgment taking rank as such; hut if the sum so assessed he not in fact paid, the widow still has her right of dower in the land itself.</p>
