<p>Contract—consideration — mere knowledge op the lender op ILLEGAL PURPOSE POR WHICH THE MONET IS WANTED DOES NOT VITIATE loan.—A loan of money wbich the lender knew was wanted for the equipment of a company of cavalry to serve the Confederate States, in the late war between the states, but without any stipulation in the contract to that effect, the borrowers being left free by the terms of the contract to use the money as they saw fit, is valid, and the money thus loaned may be recovered.</p>
