<p>Statutory Construction.—Act of March: 28, 1868—Effect of. —Under the Act of March 28, 1868, “To regulate salaries and fix the compensation of certain county officers,” the Sheriff of Tuolumne County, elected at the general election of 1869, became ex-officio Collector of Taxes from and after the first Monday of March, 1870.</p>
