<p>Mexican Grants ‘in California.—An imperfect grant of land, made by the Mexican government in California before its acquisition by the United States, must have been presented to the authorities of the United States for confirmation under the provisions of the act of Congress to settle private land claims in California.</p> <p>Approval of Mexican Grant.—A grant of land made by Mexico in California, during Mexican domination, required the approval of the Departmental Assembly.</p>
