Synovus Bank appeals an order of the Administrative Law Court granting summary judgment to the Department of Revenue. The issue in the case is whether the South Carolina bank tax allows a net operating loss carryforward as a tax deduction. For the reasons outlined in this opinion, we affirm the ALC's judgment that the deduction is not allowed.
