Syllabus

<p>Supreme Court. Jurisdiction. Suit begun in justice’s court. Amount in controversy. Appeal. Code 1906, § 86.</p> <p>Under Code 1906, § 86, authorizing an appeal from the. circuit court to the supreme court in cases originating in a justice of the peace court only where the amount in controversy exceeds fifty dollars, the supreme court has no jurisdiction of and will dismiss an appeal in a case so originating where the amount in controversy does not exceed said sum, although the parties have agreed that the record should he so amended as to formally show that the amount exceeded said sum.</p>
