In this enforcement action arising from appellants Glenn A. Schmidt and Heidi S. Schmidt's use of their property as a short-term rental, the Schmidts challenge the district 1 court's grant of summary judgment to respondent Stockholm Township. The Schmidts argue that the district court erred by determining that (1) their use of the property violated the township's 1992 zoning ordinance and (2) their use of the property is not a lawful nonconforming use under Minnesota Statutes section 462.357, subdivision 1e(a) (2022), and the township's 2022 zoning ordinance. We reject both arguments and affirm.
