<p>, Jurisdiction of justices of peace — To hear criminal cases — Not limited to township — Section 6io, Revised Statutes.</p> <p>Under the provisions of Section 610, Revised Statutes, a justice of the peace has “jurisdiction in criminal cases throughout the county in which he is elected and where he resides,” and his authority to hear and dispose of a criminal case in the manner prescribed by the statute, is not limited to the township for which he is elected and where he resides.</p>
