Syllabus

The defendant, Walter Simpson (Simpson or defendant), appealed from a Superior Court judgment of conviction adjudging him to have violated the terms and conditions of his probation and executing eighteen years of a twenty-year suspended sentence. After considering the parties' written and oral submissions and reviewing the record, the Supreme Court was satisfied that the hearing justice committed no error in finding that the defendant had violated the terms and conditions of his probation and that her execution of eighteen years was well within the ambit of her discretionary authority. The Supreme Court affirmed the judgment of the hearing justice.
