Syllabus

Trial court did not err by denying appellant's motion to suppress statements made to a police officer during a subsequent interaction with police because the statements were relevant to the charges against appellant and the probative value of the statements was not substantially outweighed by the risk of undue prejudice. Trial court did not err by denying appellant's motion for mistrial because, under the circumstances of the case, the prosecutor's brief comment about appellant's record did not prejudicially affect appellant's substantial rights.
