Syllabus

APPELLATE REVIEW/CRIMINAL – ERROR PRESERVATION – FORFEITURE – PLEA AGREEMENT – BLANKET POLICY: Defendant did not forfeit a challenge to the trial court's blanket policy of rejecting plea agreements by failing to submit a plea agreement to the trial court where it would have been futile for defendant to submit a plea agreement to the court after the trial court announced that it would have summarily rejected the plea under its policy. The trial court abused its discretion when it refused to accept defendant's plea agreement with the state under a blanket policy of not accepting pleas in \these cases.\
