Convicted of the crimes of sexual assault in the third degree and risk of injury to a child in connection with his alleged sexual abuse of the In accordance with our policy of protecting the privacy interests of the victims of sexual abuse and the crime of risk of injury to a child, we decline to identify the victim or others through whom the victim's identity may be ascertained. This case originally was scheduled to be argued before a panel of this court consisting of Chief Justice Robinson and Justices McDonald, D'Auria, Mullins and Ecker. Maryland (373 U.S. 83) were violated as a result of the procedures the prosecutors employed to review the journals for exculpatory information. C revealed the exis- tence of the journals for the first time at trial, testifying that she created them in connection with the therapy she was receiving after the abuse and that they concerned her relationship with the defendant and the abuse he had
