Syllabus

The State appeals the trial court's order granting the defendant's motion to dismiss the fivecountindictment against him on denial of speedy trial grounds. Following a thoroughreview of the record, the briefs, and oral arguments of the parties, we reverse the trialcourt's grant of the defendant's motion to dismiss, reinstate the indictments against thedefendant, and remand to the trial court for further proceedings.
