Syllabus
The Defendant, Jerome Cole, Jr., pled guilty in the Knox County Criminal Court topossession of a firearm after having been convicted of a violent felony and aggravatedassault with a deadly weapon. Pursuant to the plea agreement, he received concurrenteight-year sentences with the trial court to determine the manner of service. After asentencing hearing, the trial court ordered that he serve the sentences in confinement. Onappeal, the Defendant claims that the trial court erred by denying his request for alternativesentencing. Based on our review, we affirm the judgments of the trial court.
