State of Minnesota v. Kou Yang

Syllabus

In this direct appeal from the district court's judgment of conviction, appellant Kou Yang argues that he was denied due process when the district court failed to employ proper procedures to ensure Yang was not tried and convicted while incompetent. Because we agree that Yang was denied due process, we reverse and remand to the district court.
