State of Minnesota v. Devin Lee Arola Johnson
Syllabus
If a defendant argues on direct appeal that a guilty plea is invalid on the ground that it was induced by an unfulfilled promise in a plea agreement, and if the record does not clearly reveal the terms of the plea agreement, the defendant is not entitled to reversal of the conviction but retains the right to assert the claim in a post-conviction petition. Affirmed in part, reversed in part, and remanded.
