1. The defendant's contemporaneous statements that he planned to beat the victim constitute direct evidence of the defendant's intended use of a wooden board. 2. The direct evidence of the defendant's intended use of a wooden board was calculated or likely to produce death or great bodily harm. Accordingly, a jury could reasonably conclude that the board was a dangerous weapon. Affirmed.
