Syllabus

<p>1. The sale of lands for delinquent taxes under the provisions of the statute constitutes a contract between the purchaser and the state.</p> <p>2. The terms of such contract are found in the law in force at the time, and under which the sale was made.</p> <p>3. A law materially extending the time for redemption cannot legally apply to sales made prior to the passage of such law.</p> <p>(Syllabus by the Court.</p>
