Syllabus

<p>Schools — Transportation of pupils — Section 7731, General Code — Furnishing conveyance, designating depots and providing shelter— Section 7731-1, General Code — Optional and mandatory duties.</p> <p>1. When a board of education provides transportation for pupils under Section 7731, General Code (107 O. L., 625), and a conveyance is furnished which passes within one-half mile of the pupil’s residence or private entrance thereto, such board has fully complied with the provisions of that section.</p> <p>2. By Section 7731-1, General Code (108 O. L., pt. 1, 709), the designation of places as depots to gather children is made optional with a board of education. If this discretion has been exercised and certain places have been designated as depots, then shelter is required to be provided for such children.</p>
