Syllabus
Mandamus, jail-time credit; discretion of court; appeal with a motion for stay is an adequate remedy at law. Relator sought mandamus to compel the trial court judge to grant him 13 days of jail-time credit. This court dismissed the mandamus action sua sponte because a judge has discretion in deciding a motion of jail-time credit and mandamus does not control judicial discretion even if it is grossly abused. Moreover, appeal with a motion for stay is an adequate remedy at law precluding mandamus.
