<p>Mandamus lies to compel a court to exercise its lawful jurisdiction where it refuses to take jurisdiction or to proceed in the ., exercise thereof ; but not for the correction of errors committed while exercising jurisdiction, nor where, as in this case, it is not shown that an error was committed while exercising jurisdiction.</p>
