SYLLABUS BY THE COURT.

Inheritance Tax op 1909 — Constitutional. Chapter 248 of the Laws of 1909, commonly called the inheritance tax law, does not violate the clause in the bill of rights declaring that free governments are instituted for the equal protection and benefit of the people, nor does it violate the constitutional provisions respecting uniformity in the operation of general laws and «-uniformity and equality in the rate of assessment and taxation. The act is therefore held valid.
