Syllabus

<p>1. Parol evidence—Written instruments—Delivery.—To establish the fact that there was no valid delivery of a note sued on, or a delivery thereof for a special purpose only, parol evidence is admissible.</p> <p>2. Idem—Failure of purpose.—When such evidence, in connection with written, shows that the purpose for which a note was delivered failed, there is no liability therefor on its maker.</p>
