Syllabus
<p>1. CORPORATIONS. Receiver. Ex pa/rte petition. Chancellor.</p> <p>The appointment of a receiver for a corporation by a chancellor, in vacation before bill filed, on an ex parte petition of its stockholders, is void.</p> <p>3. Same. Rights of creditors.</p> <p>When the appointment of a receiver for a corporation is void a creditor may sue it by attachment and g-arnish its assets in the hands of the pretended receiver, although he had deposited the assets with the attaching creditor.</p>
