Shalom Presbyterian Church of Washington, Inc. and Pastor Bo Chang Seo appeal a decision of the Court of Appeals reversing the grant of summary judgment that the circuit court rendered in their favor in a dispute with the Atlantic Korean American Presbytery over the relationship between the parties and the effect of that relationship on the ownership of certain property. Although in the present opinion it is concluded that the circuit court erred in granting summary judgment to Shalom and Pastor Seo, it is also concluded that the Court of Appeals erred in its reasoning and ultimate disposition of this case. Accordingly, for the reasons set forth, the judgment of the Court of Appeals is reversed, and the case is remanded with instructions to remand the matter to the circuit court for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
