Syllabus

<p>(a) The act of April 13,1843, P. L. 221, imposes upon the commissioners of the counties of the commonwealth the duty of keeping county bridges in repair. That act, as to Huntingdon county, was repealed by the act of March 11, 1844, P. L. 86. By the act of February 26, 1846, P. L. 64, Blair county was erected out of parts of Huntingdon and Bedford counties:</p> <p>1. By the act creating Blair county, providing that the officers of said county should be subject to “the same duties.....as other similar officers ” in the other counties of the state, it became the duty of the county commissioners, under the general law, to keep in repair county bridges erected prior to 1846, in territory taken from Huntingdon county.</p>
