Syllabus
<p>DEVOLUTIVE APPEAL — BOND—DEPOSIT.</p> <p>1. The amount of the bond for a devolutive appeal must be fixed by the judge. This requirement is not satisfed by an order directing the bond be given in the sum of “$75, or so much thereof as may be necessary to secure the costs of the suit and of the appeal.”</p> <p>2. The appellant must either make a deposit or furnish security. This requirement is not satisfied by paying the costs of the lower court, and depositing $20 on filing the transcript in the Supreme Court.</p> <p>(Syllabus by the Court.)</p>
