Syllabus

<p>Insurance — Fire insurance — Reference to appraisers — Revocable cov& nant — Action at law.</p> <p>A covenant in a policy of fire insurance that any disagreement as to the amount of a loss shall be referred to two appraisers chosen by the parties, and to an umpire selected by the appraisers, is revocable, and the insured may bring an action at law on the policy without taking any steps to have a dispute between himself and the company as to the amount of the loss referred to the appraisers.</p>
