Syllabus

<p>1. Schools and School Districts — Parish Precincts — Elections.</p> <p>A special election was attacked by suit mainly on the ground that the election precinct of a parish is not a school district. The election was held, and property taxpayers within the precinct voted.</p> <p>The Constitution, art. 232, authorizes special election to he held in any parish, municipal, corporation, ward, or school district. A parish precinct is not one of those mentioned subdivisions.</p> <p>2. Same — Property Taxpayer.</p> <p>When he votes, the property taxpayer should indicate by indorsing (or causing to be indorsed on bis ballot) what property he votes, and should not leave it to the election supervisors or commissioners to determine after the election what property he voted.</p> <p>3. Same — Setting Aside Election.</p> <p>The plea of prescription is not sustained by the time required.</p> <p>(Syllabus by the Court.)</p>
