Syllabus

The appellants, Raymond D. Burt and Tammy L. Lacoste, appealed from the grant of six motions for summary judgment in three underlying cases. They contended that the motion justice erred by ordering reformation of the warranty deeds of both Mr. Burt and Ms. Lacoste and the mortgage deed of Mr. Burt on the ground that the deeds were the product of mutual mistake. The Supreme Court held that the motion justice did not err by ordering reformation of the deeds on the ground that they did not reflect the intent of the parties and were the product of mutual mistake. Accordingly, the Court affirmed the judgments of the Superior Court. <br><br>
