Syllabus
<p>Syllabus.</p> <p>1. When judgment is rendered in favor of plaintiff for part only of his demand, and he appeals, defendant may have the judgment amended or reversed by answering the appeal and praying merely that the judgment be reversed and plaintiff’s demand rejected, without the necessity of reiterating all the points of his defense.</p> <p>2. The charter and by-laws of a mutual aid society are law unto the members thereof.</p> <p>3. A fire insurance policy in a mutual society will be vitiated when the by-laws provide that the storage in large quantities of burning fluids 'and combustible oils shall render the certificate void, and when the testimony establishes that there was more oil on the premises insured at the time of the fire than legitimate domestic purposes required.</p>
