Syllabus

<p>Insurance — Fire insurance — Insurable interest — Parol agreement to purchase real estate.</p> <p>One who has entered into merely a parol contract to purchase real estate, which cannot be enforced under the statute of frauds, has no insurable interest in the property as an unconditional and sole owner, within the meaning of such words, in a policy of fire insurance.</p>
