Syllabus

<p>When a demurrer is general to a complaint, Courts are not bound to notice defects, which are mere matter of form.</p> <p>In an action against a Sheriff for wrongfully seizing and selling property, under an execution, and where there was no wantonness or oppression on the part of such officer in the seizure ; the measure of damages is the value of the property at the time it wag seized, and legal interest on such amount from the time of seizure up to the time of the rendition of the verdict.</p>
