Peter Montaquila v. Peter F. Neronha, in his official capacity as Attorney General of Rhode Island
Syllabus
The petitioner, Peter Montaquila, filed a petition for a writ of certiorari, seeking review of the Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General's decision denying his application to renew his concealed or open-carry license pursuant to G.L. 1956 § 11-47-18(a). The Supreme Court concluded that the Attorney General's decision was not based on legally competent evidence. Accordingly, the Supreme Court set aside the Attorney General's decision and quashed the Attorney General's denial.
