<p>Ceduxal Law— Conviction—Insuffioiency of Evidence—Laboeny.— When the evidence is otherwise insufficient to justify the verdict, a conviction for larceny cannot he sustained by the mere fact that the defendant when a witness in his own behalf, made a false statement as to a matter in no way connected with the crime of which he was accused.</p>
