<p>Patents — Infringement—Paper Board.</p> <p>The McEwan patent, No. 492,497, for an improved paper board made from printed newspaper or the like, by a process described, the essential feature of which is to keep the paper stock as hot as possible during the entire process of manufacture, avoiding the use of cold water and of alkaline or bleaching substances, to the end that the ink may be kept soft and the permanent particles minutely subdivided during the beating process, must be strictly construed in view of the prior art, and is not Infringed by board made by a process in which 1 per cent, of soda ash is auiled to the newspaper stock, and cold water is used in the beating engines.</p>
