Syllabus
<p>Mechanic’s lien—of sub-contractor. If a party, furnishing labor or materials to a contractor for the erection of a building, desires to enforce a lien under the act of 1869, he must give notice to the owner in twenty days from the completion of his contract, or in twenty days after payment should have been made, and then he can recover no greater sum than is due from the owner to the original contractor.</p>
