Code 1892, %% 1987, 2023 to 2026 inel/ustve.</p> <p>A witness for the state in a criminal proseention who has been committed to jail to secure his appearance before the circuit court, is not, under \\\\ 1987 to 2026 inclusive, code 1892, entitled to a per diem allowance of fees for the whole period of his detention, but only for that covered by his attendance upon the court when in session.</p>
