Syllabus

<p>Ejectment. — In ejectment the plaintiff must recover, if at all, upon the strength of his own title. If the defendant can show an outstanding title in another, it will defeat the plaintiff’s right of recovery.</p> <p>Judgment : Lien. — Where an execution is issued, and levied on real estate while the lien of a judgment thereon is in force, and a sale under the execution is properly made, and a deed, executed to the purchaser, such deed will relate hack to the date of the judgment, and the title which the defendant had at that time will pass.</p>
