The defendant, Ashley L. Levesque, appealed pro se from a Superior Court entry of summary judgment in favor of the plaintiff, Karen A. Oliveira. According to the defendant, she did not object to the plaintiff's motion or appear at the Superior Court hearing on the motion because she was under the impression that she and the plaintiff had settled. <br><br>The Supreme Court held that there were no genuine issues of material fact and that, therefore, the plaintiff was entitled to judgment as a matter of law. Accordingly, the Supreme Court affirmed the judgment of the Superior Court. <br>
