Syllabus

<p>1— Judicial cognizance will be taken of the fact that the courts of this State were open for the prosecution of suits to judgment, in the fall of 1805, under the proclamation of the Provisional Governor.</p> <p>2— The stay-laws passed during the rebellion interposed no obstacle to the institution of a suit to fix the liability of indorsers.</p>
