Syllabus
Company president appeals from a judgment in favor of a law firm on its claim for unpaid professional services fees for legal services provided to the company and its president. The jury verdict against the company's president individually was not based on insufficient evidence or against the manifest weight of the evidence. The engagement letter signed by the law firm, company, and company's president did not specify that the company was solely responsible for payment of the fees, and the company president's signature was not signed solely in a corporate capacity. In light of the company president's evidence and arguments at trial, the trial court did not err in including a jury instruction on quantum meruit. Judgment affirmed.
