Grandparents appeal juvenile court's denial of their petition for visitation rights with their grandson. The trial court properly decided the petition by considering relevant statutory best-interest factors while giving special weight to the parent's desire to oppose visitation. The court did not direct a verdict in favor of the parent, the court decided the petition on the merits. Any error in admitting an out-of-court statement made by a grandparent during a settlement conference was harmless error where there was admissible testimony that the grandparent made substantially the same statement on another occasion.
