The petitioner seeks relief from the trial court's order of January 4, 2023. On June 7, 2023, the Supreme Court issued a rule to show cause why the trial court did not err in requiring the petitioner to disclose the nature of his alternate suspect defense forty-five days before trial. The respondents are directed to file a written answer on or before July 5, 2023. The petitioner has 21 days from receipt of the answer to reply. Opinion issued January 16, 2024
