Syllabus

Mother appeals from the juvenile court's determination that it lacked subject matter jurisdiction over the parties' child custody proceedings, pursuant to the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act. The trial court did not err in concluding that it lost exclusive continuing jurisdiction during the family's nearly decade-long residence in Michigan. The trial court did not err in concluding, without a hearing, that the Michigan court was the more appropriate forum as the new home state. Judgments affirmed.
