Syllabus
The respondent father appealed from the judgment of the trial court terminat- ing his parental rights with respect to his minor child. The father claimed, inter alia, that the court improperly determined that he had failed to achieve the requisite degree of personal rehabilitation required by the applicable statute (§ 17a-112 (j) (3) (B)). Held: The trial court properly concluded that the Department of Children and Families made reasonable efforts pursuant to § 17a-112 (j) (1) to reunify the respondent father with the child, as that determination was not clearly erroneous and was supported by sufficient evidence. The trial court's determination that the respondent father failed to achieve the requisite degree of personal rehabilitation required by § 17a-112 (j) (3) (B) was not clearly erroneous and was supported by sufficient evidence. The trial court's finding that termination of the respondent father's parental rights was in the child's best interest was not clearly erroneous.
